Thursday, September 23 will be a first-of-its-kind for Kona Ice Beach Cities. We have our first 4-event day!

We start things off at Moiola Elementary School in Fountain Valley for an after school event at 1:00 PM.

Then, we will serve treats to the kids at Newland Elementary School in Huntington Beach at 1:30 PM.

After Newland, we point the KEV north and drive to Marina High School in Huntington Beach to continue KIBC’s partnership with Marina Football Boosters. Kona Ice will be served at the Warren vs. Marina game from 2:30 PM to about 5:00 PM.

To finish the day, we will race, um drive, to Anaheim. Starting at 5:30 PM, we look forward to serving the kids and parents at Dale Junior High School for Back to School Night.

We are looking forward to this epic day. Keep track of us on Facebook and Twitter and look for some Quadruple Header give-aways that day.

Kona Ice Beach Cities is proud to be participating in OC Foodie Fest, Orange County’s first gourmet food truck event. OC Foodie Fest is taking place Saturday, August 28th at the Honda Center in Anaheim. The one-day event will be the ultimate foodie destination, featuring the best in popular mobile eats combined with a unique forum to showcase local entertainment & shopping to help support local charities.

To continue our tradition of giving back to our community, Kona Ice Beach Cities will donate $1.00 from every Large Kona sold at the 2010 OC Foodie Fest to the event charities.

We also will be participating in the OC Foodie Fest Preview Event at Fox Fullerton Theater Outdoor Movie Night on Thursday, August 26th from 7:00 to 10:00 PM. Join us at 500 N. Harbor Blvd. Suite E, Fullerton, CA 92832 (Corner of Harbor Blvd & Chapman Ave) for the original James Bond movie, Dr. No, and delicious treats from KIBC and other Orange County trucks participating in OC Foodie Fest.

Coming off of a great Fourth of July Holiday with the HBHS Cheerleaders and our new friends throughout Huntington Beach, Kona Ice Beach Cities prepares to take the KEV all over Northern Orange County over the next two weeks.

Tonight, we head to Anaheim for First Presbyterian Church of Anaheim’s Family Fun Night. Tomorrow, on July 10, KIBC will cool off music fans at the Legends of Rock concert at Irvine Lake.

Next week, on Friday and Saturday, we have a two day stint at the Lineman Competition hosted by Marina High School Football in Huntington Beach. Friday night, July 16, we are excited to return to Downtown Anaheim for the July installment of Rumble & Rock. And we hope to keep the KEV clean and the competitors happy at the Irvine Lake Mud Run on Sunday, July 18.

The following Thursday on July 22. we provide dessert at the conclusion of the HBHS Lil’ Oiler Cheer Camp at Dwyer Middle School in Huntington Beach. Mix in a couple of private events along the way and it will be a busy couple of weeks for the KEV – and we are looking forward to it.

Give us a call at 714-655-5873 or e-mail at info@konaicebc.com if you would like us to cool off your public or private event. We hope to see you out!

Kona Ice Beach Cities kicked off its first summer in business with a bang this Memorial Day Weekend. On Friday night, we served many excited students and families at Hope View Elementary School‘s Rocket Night. We look forward to seeing our friends at Hope View again in the fall. On Saturday morning, we cooled off the runners and their fans at the Low Tide Run in Long Beach. (Info below on more races in June.) On Saturday afternoon, we introduced the KEV to lots of new friends at Worthy Park and Lake Park in Huntington Beach. We spent all day Sunday at the Villa Park Family Picnic. Great people and a great time. We look forward to seeing our friends in Villa Park again in the fall. We finished off the weekend in our home town at Dog Beach in Huntington Beach. What a great day, a great weekend and a great start to the summer!

We already have a busy June planned. Among our events is the Ocean View Little League playoffs on June 1. Our next race event is the Downtown Anaheim 5K on June 12. We also will be driving in the Downtown Anaheim Flag Day parade then serving the crowd at the end of the parade! And we will be at the finish line of the Summer Solstice Watermelon Run in Long Beach on June 17.

Much more is happening in June so stay tuned. We look forward to seeing you!

The command center of Kona Ice Beach Cities is the Kona Entertainment Vehicle – the KEV. The KEV is born from a General Motors 3500 Express chassis, but that is the only part of it that is standard. The custom built serving area is large enough for 3 Kona servers and has commercial grade flooring and cabinets with stainless steel reinforcements and a stainless preparation area. The KEV is equipped with an on-board ice shaver and 36 cubic feet of freezer space so the cool treats will keep coming morning, noon and night. Outside, there are high output lights, a state of the art sound system and a colorful exterior creating a fun and inviting atmosphere. Best of all, the KEV features the patent-pending FlavorWave where customers can self-serve 10 popular syrup flavors onto their Kona Ice. We look forward to delivering our soft shaved ice treats to you in the KEV so you may experience it for yourself.

In a matter of days, Kona Ice will arrive in the beach cities of Orange County and surrounding areas.  We are excited to deliver the cool treats and good times of the Kona experience to our Southern California communities.  Events will be added to our calendar so you can keep track of where Kona Ice Beach Cities will be. Call 714-655-5873 or e-mail info@konaicebc.com for more information. We look forward to meeting you!
